Dr. Bill Black provided some details and tips regarding the cultivation of cannabis.

He discussed some of the potential pests and organisms that can hinder the growth and harvesting of cannabis plants.

He informed us of the lighting requirements and recommended LED lights for their inexpensive operating costs and neutral thermodynamic properties (they don't emit heat).

He shared with us some details about when to harvest (by looking at trichomes). He gave some tips regarding responses to pests and flushing the plants with water prior to harvest.

He also shared some tips regarding harvesting and drying the plants.

The meeting place on both Saturday, June 30^th and Monday, July 2^nd for the Santa Monica Creek Trail Beautification in Carpinteria is at the west end of El Carro, as shown on the map below. We'll be spreading mulch and weeding. To get there from Santa Barbara, travel south on 101, exit Carpinteria Avenue. Turn left at the light. Then travel straight, past the stop sign, to El Carro where you turn left. Proceed to the end of the street. Optionally, RSVP with Ray Kolbe for lunch or call to arrange carpools at (805) 705-3429 .
